The First Braun Prize

At the age of 27 in 1968, while working at Achille e Piergiacomo Castiglioni’s studio in Milan, Masanori won the first Braun Prize (the first edition of) with the Mobile Supply System.

The Mobile Supply System is a compact unit of bath, kitchen and audio with equipment and apparatus not fixed but movable on the wheels.

The project was developed during the night after work. Piergiacomo Castiglioni recovered at the hospital, walked out one night to see it before sending to Frankfurt.

Masanori was invited by Braun AG in Frankfurt to the presentation and the ceremony of the Award. It was his first-first class flight. As an Asian guy and looked so young, nobody believed that he was the invited winner.
